  • Dennis Young

    yamcha is such a yamcha

  • Just A Random Guy

  • God damn it Nappa

God damn it TFS did you really use We are number one?

  • MOOFAMDEEZ the Holy Cow

That awkward moment when you realize that one of the shots contains Caroni, Pirozhki, and Ms. Piiza

  • Butter

I love the way they talk dirty to one another. XD

  • Taher

We Are Number One- A dead, stale meme, TFS has become normie after Kaiser praising Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account’s ‘freshness’ in memes. Also, I am takig into account that this came out three months ago, thought the same thing back then just never left a comment.

  • Mallrick

    That also make sense!

  • Glad it’s available here, but I wish it was still up on YouTube… ☹️

  • Clifford Kellogg

Ok. I had a hard time following what cell said after goku started fighting. All I caught was chinese chicken. Can someone reply with the full dialogue of that line? I would watch over and over again, but I am a bit lazy today, and my headphones picks up everything in the video’s background, so I am not catching it properly.

    • Dende

Thats a reference to the song “One Week” by Bare-naked Ladies. The full line is “Chickity China the Chinese chicken”

  • haha Yamcha’s movie nearly kicked my ass

  • Rosa Bülow Nielsen

59 has been taken down? Sadness.

  • RandomShinigami7

It’ll go on for as long as it needs to. No need to ruin the chance for any great jokes/moments for the sake of rushing through it.

  • Espy Lacopa

Well, the Cell Games in the original anime was 18 episodes (360 minutes), and Kai took 11 episodes (220 minutes).

So, 6 abridged episodes? Still a massive amount of footage bypassed. (only 60 minutes in the abridged version)

  • Raptornator

Gohan: suddenly happy i don’t go to a public school…
Me: ahhhh Gohan you pure bastard

  • Skralin

The sheer stupidity of the announcer and Mr. Satan is the second best part of this episode after Cell’s dialogue.

  • Joop Agema

That music is awesome, it honestly gave me chills

  • Peter Idiake

“Ill show you just how hard i can get” -Goku Oh common! That one was on purpose I swear LOL

  • Jon Rice

how come you guys take so long to make dbza videos? i love you guys but way too long. i a already on the majin buu saga. you guys really need to hurry up. thank you

  • KingOfAllAnimals

Cell underestimated Goku’s Thai Quan Leap technique and so received a boot to the head. Next episode, a boot to the head for Jenny and the Wimp.

  • Squishybrick

There was an officially-awkward level of meme usage in this episode.. That’s a bad sign..

  • David Gil

Lol banter is top notch as always.

  • Daryl Golden

    “How does that work”

    Fuckin’ miracles.

  • Arjun Malhotra

They shouldn’t have killed pizza, and that Fat and Skinny fighters though…they Lazied out on that one.

  • Bruce Wayne

How many Goku’s have you beaten? I’d say 1. Oozaru Vegeta counts.

  • Jason Tate

    Needs more Nappa.

  • godzilla719

I like how you can still see Pirozhki and Caroni in the background at one point despite the fact that they’re dead in this timeline.

  • Dillon Lucas

Isn’t the dragon fist goku’s? I think they forgot that one? Idk though.

    • Arron Nicholas Pontz

But he hasn’t learned it yet. And plus i don’t think they show it in the z episodes , only in the Z movie Wrath of the Dragon.

      • Sentsuizan

The precursor t oit was the move he used to kill Demon King Piccolo in Dragon Ball.

  • A Generic Tweeter

Why did I just now realize this was released on MAY 12…. on an island nine miles off of south city, two creatures will appear

  • Alex Haugen

“I dunno, how many Gokus have you beaten?” Best. Line. Ever.

  • KingOfAllAnimals

Come on Cell, whip out your power so we can see it!

    Oh you DIRTY boy!

  • Michael Martin

These latest episodes are just amazing, and the views are pretty high for such long waits between them.

  • Jiryn

Did the newest episode of Dragon Ball Super (91) borrow the idea of terrifying Mr. Popo from TFS?
There is literally a scene where Popo warned Vegeta that if he screws up the watch tower/room again.. he’s banned then it does a dramatic shot of Popo’s face all serious.. which looks exactly like how TFS shows it.

    • Michael Martin

Cant borrow your own work, but I thought something similar lol

  • wrinklywink

is it just me or does cell actually sound like the cell in the English dubbed series? zero credits since ep 54 btw.

  • Adam Wiese

put this video on the home page

  • Jojolightningfingers

Yo are you guys going to show off the rest of that remix of we are the number one. because i’d dig that.

    • Adam Wiese

  • Xurreal .

“How many planets have you blown up?”

“None… How many Goku’s have you beaten?”

    Tien aims low.

    • KIDAS

well tien did beat goku in 1 versus 1 during tournament but as far as i remember he also fell out of the ring

      • Xurreal .

To be fair, Vegeta only destroyed Planet Arlia and they didn’t even put up a fight.

  • Adam Wiese

  • Bernardo Queiroz

CHIKITY CHINA, THE THE CHINESE CHICKEN! It´s been ages since I´ve seen the original too. 😉

    • William Vincent

      I think that may have been like a throw-back to Nappa’s “Patty-Cake, Patty-Cake”.

    • A Generic Tweeter

Have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin’ !!!

I’m not the only one who got it

    • Damien Francia

I’m glad someone else noticed the song “One Week” by the “Barenaked Ladies”.

Been addicted to that song since the first Digimon Movie.

  • Mariomaniac88

Just curious, who voiced the satan fan who says that also makes sense @ around 6:55? Anyway, great episode. Cell here is just perfect, and turning We are number one into epic battle music deserves applause.

    • Daniel Tilson

I don’t know who actually did it, but I think it’s the same person who played the “Cool Story bro” saiyan from the Bardock: Father of Goku abridged movie.

    • Evens Larose

It’s Grant, check out TFS Gaming if you don’t know him.

  • Joseph Nava

Love that u put a line from the song one week by barenaked ladies so awesome

  • Kalakotkas

Great job as always. One thing I was thinking though: it’s not really ‘Abridged’ anymore and sometimes the narration follows quite closely the original series. It feels a bit dragged… although it’s not always an issue, it depends on the quality of the jokes.

    • Expelleo

Abridged mean to shorten without losing the sense. This dragon ball Kia is technically an abridged version of the original dragon ball z. The comedy in this is just an added bonus.

    • sadie

I agree if they cut out the dirty jokes(the ones that aren’t even funny anymore their just stupid) they could fit in more material. Don’t get me wrong I’m all about comedy but it’s not even funny anymore, it’s bad writing to rely on crude humor, makes a writer lazy

      • sadie

Also the long running jokes like gokus stupidity have gone a little too far, and they lost the essence of the joke.

      • Nathan A. Shadilay

        I will respectfully disagree.

  • Chibi Dam’z

It’s m’y drawing un miniature, please credit me

  • Benjámin Kurilla

    At -06:07 remaining:
What are those Dead People doing in the background?

    • Makutakanuva

Whadya mean? They showed up after they detonated the entirely unmanned drone, well aware that Mr. Satan, the World’s Greatest Detective — coming to theaters this summer –, sniffed out their expensive stunt.

    • Reeks

I don’t see the fake cadavers at the time you tagged.. just Mr. Satan, Jimmy, the cameraman and Mr. Satan’s apprentices

  • Bjorn

This episode was definitely worth the wait! Good job TFS!
I’m thinking they’ll do three parts to episode 60 when it comes, they did it with episode 30 – the Frieza saga finale. Would be cool if they did three parts to episode 90 with Majin Buu… just a thought.

    • Dan Tomasik

Think about that for a second….half of Dragonball Z Abridged has been this arc. Wow.

      • Xurreal .

Half of Dragon Ball Z is this arc.

    • Arron Nicholas Pontz

Ohhh please make a: Goku actually damaged me and made me pregnant with his kids joke!

  • Derek Barbosa

Would you guys ever consider banking episodes of DBZA?

  • Sade George

Cell: So are you going to take a swing? Or are you just going to stand there staring into my eyes?
Goku: Oh, what was that? I was busy staring into your eyes.
Cell: Oh you beautiful Saiyan bastard, JUST PUNCH ME ALREADY!!!

    *BROMANCE IS OVER 9000!*

    • TreFKennedy88

      You have a Instagram?

      • Bogdan Stici

I feel my lung cancer spreading faster

  • Adam Wiese

  • GoKris

That was amazing lol Anyone think we’ll get done with the Cell saga by the end of the year ?

    • Matt

Not a chance in hell. At the rate these episodes come out we’re looking at another year of the Cell games, easily.

      • GoKris

Yeah you have a point.Although I really don’t mind. I got plenty to keep me occupied until then. I got through the Frieda saga after all.

      • Andrew Behrend

And now we have grant to deal with. FUCKING GRANT! He ruins everything

      • Real Rock N’ Rolla

Whose Grant and what did he do?

  • Matthew Nolan

  • NoFace The Void

This is great, guys. Love the soundtrack choices especially, but they are totally gonna get flagged by the bots on YouTube.

  • Luke Harris

shout out to the use of we are number one, that got me, it got me rolling on the floor laughing WAY too much then it should.

  • Mustachio

Why was it Yamcha’s move? Even Cell said it was Goku’s.

    • Confusing Zark

      because goku

    • Orphenoc

Cell said it was Roshi’s. But Goku has the intelligence of homer simpson (“must warn president mccain!”). The only techniques Goku invented are super saiyajin 3, possibly blue and the dragon fist assault. The first 2 aren’t attacks-the 3rd may not be canon

      • Sek

      • Orphenoc

Hence I have learned how to dodge!

      • Xurreal .

      • Orphenoc

Ahh you shouls see my posts on dr stone

    • Matt Miller

Dragonball will answer this question for you

  • Jesse Vollmer

Love the callbacks. Keep it up guys!

  • Ozzykun

the song when Cell multiples seems familiar hmmmn

  • Rkelly

that long of a wait for a ten minute episode wtf

    • android19

that’s how long the episodes usually are.
And two months is how long the wait usually is.

      • John Duarte

Mmm…. they used to be around 15 or so minutes long. They have been getting shorter

      • Alexander Page

You sure? Cuz looking at their older episodes, most were around 8 to 10 minutes. It’s the latest ones that have been longer, between 12 and 15 minutes.

      • Kaliaila

10 minutes is the normal; 15-20 minutes are usually for big special episodes or episodes that cover a large number of episodes.

      • Seriano Bueno Junior

Lanipator actually adressed this subject on the post-episode stream.

They wrote episodes 58 and 59 in a single script but it would have been too long. So they found a good way to split it to keep a proper pacing.

      • Rkelly

don’t mind me I’m just advocating for kaiser to hire editing staff so that when he’s not editing someone else could be. you know, like how other animation production companies do it

      • Tsapki

Do you have their budget numbers? That would be helpful for seeing how many people they can hire.

      • Rkelly

yeah according to patreon they have 11,000 a month, and they estimate it takes 2,000 a month to hire someone, and again, according to patreon they have hired at least 3 people. but Kaiser remains too stubborn to hire someone to edit DBZA. the only reason I’ve seen him give is that “no one edits like he does”. which makes sense until you realize that thats why creative teams plan, collaborate and work under an executive producer or show runner. That keeps the narrative and tone of the work aligned with previous episodes and iterations. It would really be worth it in the long run to get more people working on DBZA. But no, instead, every time kaiser gets sick or can’t work for some reason, the audience must wait because there is no plan b, and the plan a to begin with isn’t as strong as it could be.

      • Saiko Kurosu

If we’re assuming the estimated cost of hiring someone each month is the amount they’re paying, that would mean that over half of their current Patreon income is already being given to three people, while (as far as I can see from the Patreon Goals) everything from $10,000 and up is going to their next goal; they want to gather everyone to the same place and start renting out an actual studio so they can be a production house.
We should be happy for how far they’ve come. You’re entitled to your opinion, but they started this as a hobby. This is meant to be fun for them. Delays don’t just happen with projects like this; they happen in the professional business too. We just don’t hear about the details because, well…

I’ll leave well enough alone. Though it was likely unwanted, I wanted to put my two cents in.

    • Kaliaila

The waits between episodes used to be a LOT longer.

  • Goddamn Batman

    Yamcha’s move nearly killed me

    • It killed Krillin.

      • NoFace The Void

Cell didn’t. Never has, never will. Guess he’s not so perfect.
