Raging Blast 2 is coming out and from looking at trailers and gameplay videos it's apparent that while it may be a good sequel to Raging Blast it still won't be the Ultimate Dragon Ball game.
So let's discuss some of the things that are needed for a Dragonball game to be perfect.
Well for one, we don't need a thousand characters all doing about the same moves but named differently.

We need a create a story mode option... god that would be epic.
Also a non shitty story line with anime cutscenes, and OVER 9000 characters.
My ideal Dragon Ball game would be a game similar to Super Dragon Ball Z. If they added just a few more characters and got rid of the leveling your character system it would be great. Plus online and all that.

Funny, since the majority of people hate Super DBZ(I've never played the game, so have no opinion) But I was a huge fan of BT3 so a game like that would be good.Originally Posted by The Announcer
I assume it is disliked because it played like an old-school fighting game(I've heard some people involved with Street Figher II made SDBZ) and was harder to play than a game like the Budokai Tenkaichi series which has very basic controls(not saying those games don't have their own charm). And it also had a small roster unlike other Z games like Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Yeah, my game would have an accurate story. I HATED BT3(and bustlimits) STORY AND HATED BT3 ENDING! (Instead of putting the actual end of DB, the put the part where Goku goes to penguin village and abruptly end the story.
A game that is free, for pc, standalone , has amazing graphics. And where you can play in a free roam world just logging into a server and beat the shit out of your opponents. Where the victory depends on your actuall skill in the game then buttonsmash. And which does not need halflife like ESF

Probably game with large rooster of characters, the least stock attacks the better.
New attacks, even though the hardcore fans say "The game sucks because it's got attacks that didn't appear in the manga", well then how the f*ck would you fight with Vegeto if he never fought in the manga you idiot?/Ranting over
Also, lot's of What-Ifs, I love what-ifs.

I would enjoy a game that goes fully intact with the story line, not missing a single battle. Plus a game where, when the oppponent dodges the inital beginning of a beam like move such as death beam, or kamahameha, then move into it, they take SOME damage. that irritates me for what ever reason >.>
A game that covers every important battle, meaning from Yamcha vs Kid Goku to Goku vs Omega Shenron, and features every prominent fighter from the series.
Here are some characters that haven't really been featured in any games and need to:
*Kami (with Shen as an alternate costume)
*General Rildo (He had 3 transformations and plenty of unique attacks)
*Goten (GT) (While not a very great character his absence in games have made the GT portion of the story feel incomplete and boring)
*Trunks (GT) (It's hard for me to understand why we have two versions of Future Trunks but not this version. He should be in the game for the same reasons as Goten)
*Baby (base form) (While he didn't really fight much in his original state his ultimate could be very fun. It could work similarly to Captain Ginyu's body change but better. We would need a cutscene in which he takes over either Gohan, Goten, or Trunks and he would have the ability to use all of their attacks. He would still be able to transform into Baby Vegeta.)
*Kid Krillin (A major character whose absence makes the Dragonball portion of the story mode feel incomplete)
*Adjutant/Commander Black robot (Again I don't get why this character isn't in any games when he was in the final battle in a main saga of the series. He also did many attacks.)
That's all I can think for now in terms of characters. The gameplay should be like the Tenkaichi and Raging Blast. There should be items that can only be used in certain characters(Like Sword which would have to be added if you wanted Future Trunks, Dabura or any other swordsman to have a sword. The presence or absence of Sword would change their ultimates, rushes, and/or throws). Certain power-ups that can only be used if certain events happen(Like in a team battle you have Nail and Piccolo on your team and Nail gets killed it automatically cuts to a scene of Piccolo and Nail fusing in the same way they did on the show. This would increase Piccolo's life points.). All kinds of Team attacks would be nice to have.
There's more I can say but I would have to think about it to hard.
I think it should be set up similar to Burst Limit for the 360 but have the story go from the begining of dragonball all the way through z with a large range of characters. I also dont think that you should have to press 20 buttons to do one attack, that's why i didnt enjoy ultimate battle 22. Also they should be able to customize character stats and costumes by earning points in game (zenni). I'd like to do something with the clothes, like the skins they have in ssbb. i'd dress freeza up as vader XD
