Hey guys! We're updating from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada!
First, let's just say that Vancouver, along with the rest of Canada we have experienced so far, has been positively beautiful. From the moment we landed, to the convention, to our mountain hike, all the way 'till now... We're incredibly satisfied with our stay and are absolutely eager to return next year.
Now, as for WHY we're in Canada... Anime Evolution 2010!
The convention was a great success! We met many great fans, the staff was friendly and very attentive (HUGE shout out to our handlers Devon and Brian, to be sure!), the campus was absolutely stunning, and even the weather was impeccable. Of course, the main draw for the con was...
The panels! Voice duels drew a great crowd and some great voices this year. It still needs some refining, but we should have it fully tuned and ready for our next big convention. The LK and TFS dedicated panels were packed full with some awesome fans, and our individual premieres and videos to share went over well. The PCC Championship fight played out incredibley, with some great entrances and lots of cheering from the crowd. Again, you guys, you were fantastic. We hope that the next PCC Champion fight will only be bigger and better, and will continue to entertain.
The 18+ Panel was... absolutely deplorable in the best possible way. If you couldn't make it in, let's just say: Shirts were lost, dignity was abandoned, and the language was about as filthy as you can get without staring a photo of Tommy Wiseau. We wish more people could have been there, but that's the nature of 18+!
Something that really psyched us up though: The charity auction for the BC Children's Hospital! And let us assure you that we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
MasakoX auctioned off his first mic, signed by the man himself, for $65. A signed first copy of Shonen Jump American, including signatures from MasakoX, Little Kuriboh, KaiserNeko, Takahata101, Megami33, Hbi2k, and Lanipator, went for $105. The big one, however, was a three-minute, custom video for the highest bidder that went at $200 dollars, second only to an auction of TWO gold passes for next year. Oh, and the Real Steel Chair went for 10 bucks. The auction ended with a total of $3000~! Congratulations to Anime Evolution and to BC Children's Hospital.
We also took lots of videos and pictures that we'll be posting to our Facebook and on Youtube as well. Don't expect the videos on our main channel, but we'll make sure to favorite ones we find and the ones we put on our individual accounts.
Speaking of videos... About our Vokle. We're going to be frank: We lost track of time. This is the first and only time we've seen each other in the last 10 months and we were just too excited to hang out with each other and see a terrible, horrible, AWESOME AS HELL MOVIE (The Expendables) and go out for pizza afterwards. We apologize, it's not very professional, and anybody who was waiting for it: We hope we can make it up to you. Hopefully we'll have our photos and videos up for everyone to see soon.
Again, apologies and a lot of love to you guys who have supported us. The convention was a mighty success and we have you guys to thank!
